Date And Time Of The Chandrayaan 3 Moon Landing And Where To Watch The Live Broadcast
Chandrayaan 3 Landing Date and Time: India’s Chandrayaan-3 got closer to the Moon on Sunday after the Lander Module (LM) successfully completed its second and final de-boosting procedure. The lander has now achieved an orbit, according to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), at a distance from the Moon of 134 km at its furthest point and 25 km at its closest point. And with that, India would soon join the United States, Russia, and China as the fourth country in the world to do a soft landing on the moon.

About Chandrayaan 3
A follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3 intends to demonstrate end-to-end capability for secure landing and exploration of the lunar surface. It is aimed at the lunar south pole, where there may be water ice or frozen water. For prospective lunar expeditions or a more long-term moon colony, this region offers a potential source of oxygen, fuel, and water.

Official Chandrayaan 3 Moon Landing Date & Time
On July 14, the third lunar mission of India was successfully launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The purpose of this spacecraft, which consists of a locally produced Lander module (LM), Propulsion module (PM), and Rover, is to develop and demonstrate new technologies needed for interplanetary missions. On August 5, a few weeks after that, the lander will make contact with the moon. And it will arrive at its destination in just 1 day.
ISRO disclosed the date and time of the historic landing in a tweet that stated, “Chandrayaan-3 is set to land on the Moon on August 23, 2023, around 18:04 Hrs. IST.” This indicates that on August 23, the lander module will make contact with the lunar surface.
